Yesterday I didnt get time to post about my experiences! I was taken across through boarder which is about 7 minutes from where I am staying. Burma's in much worse shape than Thailand. We went to the house of hope where orphaned children are welcome to stay! I had so much fun playing with the kids, singing songs, and handing out balloons and stickers. So much joy comes from the simplest things. The children would keep calling me teacher teacher in Burmese, I didn't find out what it meant until After. I was then taken to the wonderful land where life impact has built houses for families that take in children who were abandoned or abused. It was so fun being able to greet each home and meet the children. Also the baby at the bottom is Benjamin! A mother at the community had a beautiful baby boy:-)it was so amazing getting to see the family with their new baby. The hospital s in Thailand are very poor, it can be hard for a mother who has a c section to even afford to stay at a hospital. Benjamin's mother is so strong, she is in a lot of pain but I am praying forerunner healing And quick recovery!

Prevention Projects in Surrounding villages
Prevention Projects
The link above will connect you to wonderful ministry that Took place today! Once a month food is taking to family that meets the criteria in order to prevent the parents from selling their children. Once we give them food we then take the time to minister the Gospel. I had through opportunity to share in 3 very different situations.
My heart is So happy to be able to share the love of God with them. There is so much poverty, hurt, and loss. Its amazing how God can break any barrier, especially with the language. I had an interpreter but was also able to convey Gods love with a smile and hug!

This little boy above was at the first village we visited, he was so happy to get stickers from me, and balloons and candy!

Allright folks, so today my journey to Thailand begins! It has been 6 months since i filled out my application to travel with life impact international, And the time has finally come. I have quite the travels ahead of me before I even set foot on Thailand soil. My journey began with a 9 Hour delay in Vancouver, which is my first flight out of Kelowna(home). Ive decided its was just for preparation and quiet time I need for my trip. I am currently sitting in the Taipei airport waiting for my next flight to Bangkok. I slept most of the way from Vancouver to Taipei so it wasn't too bad:-) I am so thankful to have family that supports me and a cause I am passionate about! It make travelling half way across the world that much more easy. Please continue to pray for me, my theme for this trip so far is centered on Hebrews 12:2-3, I am so thankful for a savior that saw the freedom and joy we would experience once he embraced the cross. I believe Thailand has lots its joy, and the true meaning of its name which is "the land of smiles." Pray fr restoration for these children and families that are seeking Gods love and joy!
P.s my neck pillow is awesome

I am so thankful for a God who supplies all my needs! Wow. I love that there is NOTHING to big for HIM. I was literally starting to worry the other day about whether or not I would have enough money to purchase my plane ticket in time, or even have enough money for my trip at all. It honestly felt like it was dead end, and nothing was turning out as I had hoped.
God convicted me in my thought process. I can be really stubborn at times, but He is so good at reminding me that if He has provided for me before, He will provide for me again... Basically He told me to GET OUT OF THE WAY! In saying that, it wasn't easy. I have always grown up working hard wherever I am placed. It is easy for me to start calculating in my brain how much extra I will need to work in order to fund-raise the money for Thailand. Sure, I could take on 2 jobs, work on the side and completely wear myself to the ground. But I kept feeling God's tug, "Candace, I got this!" That's when I said "OK God, but if I don't get the money, its your fault!" I was kinda of laughing when I said that cause at first it sounded harsh, but all of I sudden I felt a steady peace, and that peace was finally allowing God's hand to take control of the situation, and to take my hands off! I know God was pleased with my decision to STOP worrying and ultimately have Faith and know that He is going to do it.
My relationship with Him is growing stronger everyday, although it isn't easy at times, I am so thankful for His faithfulness in my life.
I guess if you are reading this and there is something that comes to mind you need to take your hands off of, DO IT. God already has the answers, he already had the best in store for you, just let Him take the lead.

All right, so it has been a while since I have come to post anything on my blog... I am slowly but surely getting used to this!
Over the past few weeks I needed funds to be able to print my support letters, as well as buy the postage stamps. It is amazing how I was able to raise over $50 on just two batches of cupcakes! This paid for 90% of the cost to send letters throughout the US and Canada.
I get so excited about the support I am receiving from my family and friends.
One of the biggest supporters so far have been the basketball girls that I work for at ORU (they bought ALL my cupcakes haha). I am currently right now in the last week of my basketball season with these girls. It has been quite an amazing journey with the team this year, but it will be a nice transition from a busy schedule to a more relaxed schedule as a regular student.
One thing that God has really been speaking to me within the past week is to GIVE IT TO HIM!
I find myself throughout the day worrying about finances, school work, friends, family... and all He keeps telling me to say is, "Jesus, I give it to you, I trust you!" I believe this is going to play a huge part in my preparation for Thailand. All I know is I am supposed to go because He told me to, and that means I need to trust him to get me there!
I give it you you Jesus!
Love you ALL!

Hi everyone!
I am so excited to begin sharing with you about my journey that will be taking place to Thailand this summer! July 15-28 with Life Impact International I will be working hands on with children that have been sold and abused in the sex trade. Life Impact works to intervene in these children’s lives, to take them in and show them the love of God.
I am in the beginning stages of fundraising for my trip, and I know 4 and a 1/2 months is going to fly by for me to get all my funds together.
I will keep you posted with how to give through my Paypal account as well as buying product through Arbonne (a company I am a consultant for) or possible apparel like cool t-shirts , tank tops, bro-tanks, etc.
I am right now beginning to prepare my heart to be filled with God's immense love so that I can pour out to the children in Mae Sot that I will be working with.
God bless,
Candace
